BWI Airport PDF Print E-mail

ImageBaltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI), Maryland’s economic engine, is the 25th largest airport in the United States.  As a hub for Southwest Airlines and home to a number of domestic and international airlines, its easy-come, easy-go reputation is enhanced by a recently completed $1.4 billion construction program.

Our members, who comprise the broader BWI community, have a vested interest in the continued viability of BWI Marshall Airport as a prime economic engine for the State of Maryland.

ImageIn late 2006, with impetus from Airport area employers, the BWI Employment, Transportation and Training Center opened at ticket counters on Concourse C to serve the needs of employers and employees in the Airport vicinity. This unique partnership with the Maryland Aviation Administration, the Anne Arundel Workforce Development Corporation and Anne Arundel Community College assists employers in recruiting for hundreds of airport jobs.  Job seekers can search specific job listings online at a special BWI link on  the State’s Internet-based job bank, Maryland Workforce Exchange or stop by the Center to complete employment applications Monday - Friday from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm.  The Community College is the training and educational link. The BWI Business Partnership, Inc. provides transportation and transit information, transit advocacy and rideshare.  Airport employee?  Check under Commuter Resources for more information.
