Q&A with Revere Bank -- Theresa Fodel

1. When did Revere Bank join the Partnership?
In December of 2010.
2. What is the Bank's role within the BWI region?
Revere Bank is a community bank that specializes in serving clients throughout the Baltimore -Washington corridor and surrounding counties.  We are a team of experienced bankers with extensive local market knowledge. Revere Bank provides creative financing and unparalleled service to meet each client's unique needs. We're a community bank making local decisions to improve the economies of the communities we serve because we're committed to your success.
is your role within the company?
I'm a Senior Vice President with our Commercial Banking team in Howard County. I provide commercial loans and offer deposit product services to a variety of mid-sized businesses, including owner occupied real estate, revolving lines of credit, equipment loans and a full array of deposit services - both commercial and retail. I work with my customers to help them grow and be successful. I get to know their business and find ways to help them connect with others throughout the community. I work hard to fulfill customers' requests while finding the best options for them to succeed. I pride myself in the support I provide my customers and they in turn, support me.
What is
something most people do not realize about the company?

I don't think people realize our size: we are a $2 billion bank and a big player in the Baltimore-Washington marketplace. We work to accommodate reasonable loan requests while being responsive and flexible.  Some businesses don't realize that we have an extensive deposit product line and full array of cash management services, which we are always enhancing to meet the needs of the customers.
5. How large is the company?
Over $2 billion in assets, with 11 branch locations in the Maryland counties of Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Howard, Prince George's, Montgomery and Frederick.

6. What is one piece of advice you can give, based on your insight into your industry and the problems you solve for your clients?
Stay in touch with your customers and your customers' needs no matter what their size is. You grow with your customer and continue to be there to support them. Also, be responsive.  It is an ongoing partnership!

7. What do you get the most out of being a Partnership member?

I think it's the diversity of the membership base and their capacity to influence important business decisions effecting change in our region. There are so many members with different occupations and backgrounds in varying industries. It really makes it interesting to meet a different group of people.
Revere Bank is celebrating its 10th Anniversary this year!
